Luggage delivered via this service will arrive at your room within 4 hours of your ferry’s arrival. If you plan to explore the island prior to check-in, we recommend packing a separate day bag with your essentials.
FERRY CANCELLATION POLICY: If your ferry booking to Rottnest Island is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, Samphire Rottnest will gladly change the date of your package booking to within 3 months of the initial booking. This booking will become non-refundable at this point in time. If your ferry booking from Rottnest Island is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions and you are not able to leave Rottnest Island, Samphire Rottnest will gladly extend your booking at a 50% discount on the Best Available Rate, with limited housekeeping services. DEPOSIT/ PAYMENT POLICY: We process your full accommodation charges at the time of booking. In order to check you in, we will require your photo ID (name registered on reservation) and the credit card that you used to book. A credit card pre-authorisation of $100 per day will be processed upon arrival as a guarantee for any incidental charges incurred. Don’t worry, your bank will release any unused portion after you leave (usually 5 to 7 business days).
Samphire Rottnest reserves the right to charge a payment processing fee to cover its associated administrative costs. Payments made by American Express will incur 1.94% surcharge, visa credit card will incur 1.16% surcharge, Mastercard credit will incur 0.16% surcharge. We do not accept Diners Club.

CANCELLATION POLICY: For standard reservations: While we know sometimes cancellation of accommodation is unavoidable – in the event cancellation is required the following applies to your booking. Greater than 7 days prior to your arrival date, a $55 cancellation fee per room applies. Between 7 days and 48 hours prior to your arrival date, the first night’s room and tax charges apply. Within 48 hours of your arrival, full payment will be kept. Cancellation of room nights once checked in incur full room night tariffs. Any adjustments or changes made to your booking will incur a $55 administration fee. Please contact the hotel directly for any cancellation or date change requests. Stay date change is subject to rate change and minimum length of stay condition.
LUGGAGE POLICY: Guests travelling with small luggage items are welcome to bring them on foot. For larger items, we recommend using the island’s ferry-to-room luggage delivery service. This service must be pre-booked directly with your ferry provider. Please confirm specific boarding and tagging procedures with your provider prior to travel. Luggage delivered via this service will arrive at your room within 4 hours of your ferry’s arrival. If you plan to explore the island prior to check-in, we recommend packing a separate day bag with your essentials.
FERRY CANCELLATION POLICY: If your ferry booking to Rottnest Island is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, Samphire Rottnest will gladly change the date of your package booking to within 3 months of the initial booking. This booking will become non-refundable at this point in time. If your ferry booking from Rottnest Island is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions and you are not able to leave Rottnest Island, Samphire Rottnest will gladly extend your booking at a 50% discount on the Best Available Rate, with limited housekeeping services. Please contact our friendly reception team to extend your booking.
PRIMARY GUEST: As a condition of booking accommodation, the Primary Guest and/or Keyholder must be 18 years of age or older and stay overnight in the accommodation through the term of the booking. Any breach of the booking conditions will result in cancellation of the accommodation license without refund. Unaccompanied minors may be issued with caution notes or infringements for non-compliance with the Rottnest Island Regulations 1988 or the accommodation booking conditions. This will result in the cancellation of the accommodation booking, and they will be made to return to the mainland on the next available ferry.
